Google Announces Nest Wifi Router with Smart Speaker, Nest Mini, Affordable Pixelbook Go

Google Wifi was one of the first routers to offer mesh networking for homes. The company has launched a new Nest Wifi which comes with an inbuilt Google Assistant speaker (Nest Point). Google has also launched other devices including Nest Mini, and Pixelbook Go.

The Nest Wifi comes with a separate Point device that is expected to increase the range by 25 percent as compared to the previous generation. The Nest Wifi router is slightly bigger in size and comes equipped with speaker grills at the bottom. According to Google, the new Nest Wifi offers 2x the speed and 25% increased coverage. Furthermore, users can also put up child restrictions on websites by using voice commands. Apart from the router part, the Nest is a full-fledged Assistant device, however, only the Point device comes with the smart speaker. Nest Wifi is priced at $269 for one router and a Point device.



Google has also announced, Nest Mini, a basic smart speaker device with Google Assistant device. As expected you can ask it about the weather, traffic, flight times and also control music playback. You can also cast audio from any device with the help of Bluetooth or Google Cast. As far as design is concerned, the Nest Mini comes wrapped in a fabric material covering LED’s.



Google has finally announced a Chrome powered Pixelbook that is light on the pocket. The Pixelbook Go comes equipped with a 13.3-inch display and starts at $649. The company claims that Pixelbook Go can last for 12 hours on a single charge. It is worth noting that Pixelbook Go is not a hybrid and cannot rotate 360-degree.
